Dale Watson cast as Jimmy Redburn

So pleased to announce that country music icon Dale Watson has been cast in the lead role of Jimmy Redburn in our film Yellow Rose.  He will also be contributing original music as well as his library of music for the film.

Dale is the real deal, an authentic country musician, who plays regularly at the Grand Ole Opry and is a fixture in the Austin Honky Tonk scene. He recently appeared in the stage play Ghost Brothers of Darkland County written by Stephen King scored by John Cougar Mellencamp and directed by T-Bone Burnett.

Dale champions "Ameripolitan" as a new genre of original music and has positioned himself as a tattooed, stubbornly independent outsider who is interested in recording authentic country music. He has become a favorite of critics and alt-country fans.

Here's an exclusive clip from our screen test.   Dale Watson singing "Every Song That I Write is For You."  The song will also be featured in our film.
